Payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store credit card or bank account numbers on our servers.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Review and process assistance applications
- Process donations and issue tax receipts
- Communicate with you about your application or donation
- Respond to inquiries and provide support
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
- Improve our programs and services
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:
- Stripe — payment processing for donations and application fees
- Google Fonts — typeface delivery for site rendering
- Groq / AI chat — our website assistant (Katie) powered by Groq AI; conversations may be processed by Groq's servers
Each third party operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies for services you interact with.
Data Sharing
- Customer data is not shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
- Mobile opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing that may be mentioned elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data.
Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Application and donor records may be retained for the period required by applicable nonprofit and tax regulations.
Children's Privacy
Our website is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Your Rights
You may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We will respond to all reasonable requests in accordance with applicable law.
Messaging Program Terms and Conditions
- The messaging program may consist of general customer care messaging to answer questions and provide support to customers, and/or marketing messaging that includes discount codes, special deals, or texts promoting our programs and services, depending on which program(s) you opt in to. We will only send content you have explicitly signed up to receive via our opt-in process. Messages will be sent from (888) 532-8234.
- You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text STOP to the phone number from which you received messages. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency will vary based on communication needs. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
